Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the LitesApp Text Editor ("App", "we", "our") handles information. We designed the App to work primarily offline and to keep your text content on your device.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or transmit your documents, notes, or text content to our servers. We do not run a backend for this App, and we do not track your files.

Data that stays on your device

• Your documents and notes: stored locally in locations you choose or in the app's private storage.
• Custom fonts: if you import fonts, the App may copy them to its cache folder for reliability. You can remove them from the App's settings or by clearing the app's data.
• Basic usage counters: the App keeps simple, non-identifying counters (e.g., launch count, editing sessions) to determine when to show the optional Google Play in‑app review dialog. These values are stored in Android SharedPreferences on your device and are not sent to us.

Information you may choose to share

• Feedback and support emails: If you use the in‑app feedback option, you can send us an email. You control what is sent. You may optionally include device details to help us diagnose issues. This email is sent via your chosen email app and provider.
• App reviews: If you choose to leave a review through Google Play’s in‑app review flow, Google may process information in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

Permissions and network use

• Storage access: used to open and save files you select.
• Network: used for actions you initiate (e.g., Google Play in‑app review, feedback email) and for services like ads/consent and crash reporting described below. The App otherwise works offline.

Advertising and consent

We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show ads. With your consent where required, Google and its partners may use the advertising ID (AD_ID) and similar information to deliver and measure ads. Consent is managed through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can revisit privacy options (if available) from within the App or your device’s ad/privacy settings. Crash reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and related diagnostics (e.g., stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version) to improve stability. No document contents you edit are sent in these reports. Crash data is processed by Google/Firebase in accordance with their privacy policy.

Analytics

We may use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage metrics (e.g., feature usage, screen views) to help improve the App. No document contents are uploaded as part of analytics.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
